Nurullakh
Nurullakh was only one year old when he fell ill with what seemed like a stomach infection. But doctors quickly suspected something more serious and referred him to an oncology unit. He was diagnosed with thalassemia. For 15 years, his life depended on regular blood transfusions—until 2024, when he finally received a bone marrow transplant.
Your donations in 2024 helped provide Nurullakh with Cidofovir, a critical antiviral medication needed during post-transplant period. Thank you for giving him a real chance at a healthier future.
cidofovir for adelina - $3,069
Adelina was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome at just nine years old. A bone marrow transplant is the only real chance for a cure, and she received one from her father in 2021. Unfortunately, the disease progressed into leukemia, requiring a second transplant from an unrelated donor.
In April 2024, during a hospital visit, she urgently needed the antiviral medication Cidofovir, which is not registered in Russia. Thanks to your support, we were able to purchase the drug. Adelina completed her treatment and is now home—doing well!
Deni: Fasturtec, 3,870 EU
Deni is 10 years old. He was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2019. He underwent treatment and recovered, but in December 2023 the cancer returned, and the whole treatment process had to start again. During chemotherapy, he needed Fasturtec. The medicine was promptly delivered to the hospital. Deni is already at home and is currently recovering from his treatment.
Thanks to a charity screening of the film "Patient No. 1" in Helsinki, we were able to raise money for medicine for Deni.
Gleb
Gleb, 16, from Novosibirsk, loves physics and algebra and dreams of becoming an engineer. In December 2023, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia after experiencing fatigue and bone pain. He was transferred for treatment to the Dmitry Rogachev Center in Moscow.
Though standard chemotherapy helps many children, Gleb faced an early relapse, requiring more intensive therapy. His treatment depended on two critical medications: Spectrila and Fasturtec
Thanks to your support, Gleb received both medications—30 vials of Spectrila and 10 of Fasturtec—totaling $32,437.
Update: Gleb passed away in January, 2025.
Veronika
Veronika, a 7-year-old girl from Barnaul, was first diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia when she was just over a year old. She bravely fought the disease for years, but in 2024, the cancer returned, and standard chemotherapy no longer worked. Doctors prescribed Besponsa (inotuzumab) to give her a chance at recovery. Due to the drug’s risks—especially to the liver—Veronika also needed Defitelio for protection. Thanks to your support, she received 80 vials of this vital medication. Veronika has since undergone a bone marrow transplant from a related donor and is now recovering. Your generosity gave her a real chance at life.
Arina
Arina, 9, from Khabarovsk, was also diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia as a toddler. After a long and difficult fight, her cancer returned this year, and conventional treatments stopped working. Doctors turned to Besponsa (inotuzumab), a powerful but risky drug requiring liver protection with Defitelio. With your help, Arina received the full course of 120 vials. She is now in remission. Her story is one of strength, resilience, and the incredible impact of your support. Thank you for helping Arina get her life back.
eva
Eva, 12, has been living with thalassemia, a serious genetic blood disorder, since her diagnosis in 2016. In 2024, she underwent a bone marrow transplant, with a matching donor found in Cyprus. Unfortunately, a second transplant later became necessary. Thanks to your generosity, Podari.Life covered over $60,000 worth of essential medications for her treatment. Your support has given Eva a renewed chance at life and continues to make a profound difference.
