2025 report

Podari.Life continued to help in 2025:

Big changes have come to Podari.Life! Now all administrative expenses are covered by investments, ensuring that every dollar donated goes directly toward purchasing life-saving medications.

On June 22, Friends of Podari.Life hosted an exclusive fundraising evening in Newton, MA, where Rada Landar, Ivan Kurilla, and special guests reflected on the legacy of the Salem “witch hunt” and its lessons for today. This event helped us raise over $4,000

November 15: friends gathered in the Bay Area for “An Evening of Stories and Light,” hosted by Marina Davidova and Olga Zhuravskaya, $7,294.42 raised for Meds4Kids at this private event.

As many of you know, last year we launched Meds4Kids, a dedicated project focused on raising funds to purchase life-saving medications for children. But with your continued support, Podari.Life is doing even more to help kids beat cancer.

Here’s what you’ve made possible in 2025:

$118,637 helped fund unrelated bone marrow donor searches for four children in need of transplants when no family match was available. $202,275 covered CAR-T procedures for 3 kids.

$47,503 supported our doctor education program, including subscriptions to journals, medical textbooks, and conference participation. Just one better-informed doctor can impact so many young lives.

$7,972 went to cancer awareness programs.

And most importantly, your donations helped us purchase essential medications for 26 children this year alone.

In 2025, the Meds4Kids project continued its work, providing children with life-saving medicines in the most challenging clinical situations. Throughout the year we covered the cost of medications required for cancer treatment and for support after bone marrow transplantation - $414,868.

In 2025, the most essential antiviral drugs were purchased: Defitelio for $247,426.96, Foscavir for $130,902.52, and Cidofovir for $14,004.37. In addition, other important medicines were funded for a total of $22,533, including Eto-Gray, Mesna (Uromitexan), Fasturtec, Daunoblastin, Diflucil, and Xaluprine.

Meet some of the children you’ve helped:

foscavir for yosimin - $12,546

Yosimin is a 14-year-old girl from Malakhovka, Moscow region. Her illness first appeared three and a half years ago, when she began to suffer from weakness, shortness of breath, and loss of appetite. In January 2025, she underwent a bone marrow transplant with her mother as the donor. Unfortunately, the graft did not take, and now Yosimin is preparing for a second transplant.

Your donations in 2025 helped provide her with Foscavir, a vital medication during this difficult treatment stage. The cost of the drug was $12,546. Thank you for giving her hope for a healthier future.

defitelio for egor - $36,208

Egor is almost 5 years old and comes from Belogorsk, Amur region. He was first diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2021, but in 2024 the disease returned. After several rounds of treatment, Egor finally achieved remission and in early 2025 doctors prepared him for a bone marrow transplant.

In January, your donations helped provide Egor with Defitelio, an essential medicine during this critical stage. Thanks to this support, he successfully underwent a transplant and was discharged home in April.

khabib: Foscavir, $6,125

Khabib is 5 years old and has been battling leukemia since December 2023. After an early relapse in September 2024, he underwent treatment with modern therapies and in 2025 received a bone marrow transplant.

Your donations helped purchase Foscavir for $6,125, a critical medication to protect him from life-threatening infections after the transplant. Thank you for giving Khabib the support he needed at this decisive moment.

defitelio for melania - $25,221

Melania is 18 months old and was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia a year ago. In early 2025 she was transferred to the Dmitry Rogachev Center for further treatment, where she received a donor bone marrow transplant. Her new cells are gradually taking hold, and she must continue supportive therapy.

Your donations helped purchase Defitelio for $25,221, an essential medication during the post-transplant period. Thank you for giving Melania a chance to keep fighting and grow up healthy.

This would never have been possible without YOUR support. Your generosity is transforming pediatric cancer care — from providing vital medications and life-saving procedures to strengthening medical expertise.
