Our friends in the Bay Area raised $10 000 for Podari.Life

A Fundraising Quest by “Svoimi Slovami” and Friends

“Svoimi Slovami”  is a Russian language school for bilingual children and a vital hub for the Russian-speaking community in the Bay Area. It’s heartwarming to share that the school, along with friends of Podari.Life, organized a special event to bring local families together and support our cause.

Held on April 23, 2023, the event welcomed over 30 families for a day of fun, connection, and giving back. While the children enjoyed themselves and created lasting memories, the parents knew their presence was helping change lives. Their participation contributed to raising funds for children in Russian hospitals fighting cancer and awaiting life-saving medications.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of all who attended, the event raised a remarkable $10,000. These funds were used to purchase 30 vials of Foscavir, a critical antibacterial and antiviral medication essential for recovery after bone marrow transplants.

This beautiful gathering not only united the community but also demonstrated the power of compassion and collective action. Every family who participated can take pride in knowing their support directly contributed to the treatment and well-being of children battling cancer.
