$5,005 Raised for Meds4Kids at Boston Double Tasting

On October 24, friends of Podari.Life gathered at a private venue in Boston for "Wine & Chocolate: A Double Tasting," hosted by Katya Sultanova and Vasiliy Gatov — long-time friends and supporters of our foundation. It was a journey of discovery and good company: Katya, a chocolate expert, explained where real chocolate gets its flavor, and Vasiliy led the guests on a wine trip from the Pyrenees to the Caucasus — five unexpected wines, one secret bottle and six pairings to go with them.

There was plenty of tasting, laughing and friendly debate about favorites. And all of it was for a reason. Together, the guests raised $5,005 for Meds4Kids.

This time, every dollar goes to Sasha. He turns 6 in December, he is fighting acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and he has just gone through a bone marrow transplant. Now he needs Letermovir — a medicine that protects him from cytomegalovirus, an infection that is harmless for most of us but can be deadly after a transplant. A full course costs $27,690, and the money raised in Boston covers about 15 of the 84 vials he needs.

Thank you to everyone who came, donated and shared the event. Sasha's fundraiser is still open, and you can support it on donation page here.

If you'd like to host your own tasting, dinner or evening with friends for a good cause, please reach out — every gathering can become someone's chance to heal.
