In February 2022, Valeria contracted Covid-19, and then concerns arose among her parents in May of the same year, because she had been showing other symptoms. By the end of July, doctors confirmed that she was suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Thus began Lera's journey to recovery, involving initial medications, followed by a bone marrow transplant and CAR-T therapy. In June 2023, she required antiviral therapy, which is commonly necessary after a bone marrow transplant. Your support played a crucial role in ensuring she received this vital medication. Dania (Daniil) was diagnosed with ALL in March 2022 at the age of 12. Fortunately, his treatment for ALL was successful. However, his battle with cancer also included a rare disease called "hemolytic anemia." To address both conditions simultaneously, Dania required Desferal, and thanks to your support, we were able to provide this crucial medication. Some medications were obtained through the generosity of donors in Russia (you can learn more about it by clicking this link (in Russian)), but we are pleased that we successfully delivered the necessary drugs on time.
